I think people do that because they "want to keep their options open." I've had that happen to me too. It's frustrating. Is it an LA thing? I would have rsvp'd if i was invited. ha ha!

Trust me, the rant wasn't at anyone in particular. It was about people in general and how they don't seem to respect the RSVP any more these days. I've both seen it first hand with my own wedding and other planned events and heard about it from many, many others. From what I hear, this appears to be a bigger problem here in LA than elsewhere (doesn't happen in the south..trust me).

There's also the fact that I was feeling (seemingly) frustrated about the way the whole planning thing is evolving. And thinking ahead to the potential drama that could still lie ahead. And well, in my personal blog, I write about what I'm dealing with - the highs and the lows, the good and the bad, the fun and the not-so-much fun-afterall.

But again, keep in mind, you already told me that you planned to be there ;-) So in my mind, you were always a maybe learning to a yes.

Katy! In response to your rant, which I grant is warranted, I must reply in my defense that I could not RSVP until I knew for certain that both my husband and I could come. I have witnessed many a birthday party where there were supposed to be over 50 people - "good friends" - coming (and they RSVP'D!) but only 5 showed up.
That being said... sorry I didn't rsvp sooner, but we're looking forward to it, so there.
