And when I read books from the New Age bookstore, I really enjoy the nag champa aroma that comes from the book. Surfergrrl, I think my eyes would become strained as well. Which of course, is pretty much why I asked. It's not like I'm 18 any more - LOL That said, I downloaded the app and figure I'll try a freebie book to see if I like it. I haven't done it yet because I'm really enjoying Jennifer Weiner's Best Friends Forever. And of course, I have a STACK of books to be read when I get around to it. She was considering buying a Kindle and asked me what the library world thought of ebooks. Personally, I think that there is nothing like reading an actual book: the smell of the paper, the rustling of the pages and the feeling of accomplishment when you finish that last page. I'm not opposed to ebooks, but I can't imagine spending my leisure time reading a book on a screen.
