The smog is washed away and it’s clear enough you see the entire city…
You can get an clear shot of the Hollywood Sign…
The Griffith Park Observatory…
So of course we had to head into Hollywood Land to get even closer to the sign…
You can even see all the way to the ocean (that reflection just above the mountains)…
So we headed out to the ocean and ended up in Marina del Rey…
The rains were starting again in Culver City which gave us a teeny tiny rainbow in Mid City (just to the right of the bulb itself)…
And then the rain starts all over again and we started heading back home…
woooow! it looks like a beautiful day in la. i needed you in july 2007 when we did our trip. next time, i’m calling you to be my tour guide. 🙂
great pictures! i’ve never seen the hollywoodland sign before, where is that? i need to see it now 🙂
Those are terrific pictures! You’re a great photographer! It is beautiful here after it rains. We’re so lucky to have the mountains and the ocean. Hope you stay dry during this next storm!
Thanks Robin. I think you’re right, having both the oceans and the mountains is some beautiful works of God.
Thanks Katelin. Let’s see…Hollywoodland…hmm…I know it’s off north of Franklin east of Highland someplace. We started up our way from Lake Hollywood and took it down into Hollywoodland. What an adorable little community center they have.
Don’t be too impressed CWG, while I can lead some decent tours around LA, it’s one large-ass, sprawled out city. Those photos alone took about 5 hours without anything but photo stops.
