Shop, Shop, Shopaholic

Hello, many name is Kat and um…I’ve been a bit of a shopaholic lately.

I honestly don’t know what’s come over me.  Yesterday after hitting up Costco for some drinks for the hubby, I decided to head over to the new outdoor mall, the Americana.  In less than 2 hours, I managed to spend $100 or so on, um, stuff.  I bought three lightweight tees (all on sale, not bad); a hook, a cookbook and a bowl from Anthropologie; and a small strainer, a pairing knife, two bamboo cooking utensials and a new timer from Sur la Table.

This doesn’t count the dish soap I bought from eBay (finally found my matching scent from William Sonoma).  Or the um, books I recently bought off of Amazon.  Yeah, yeah, I know, I don’t need the books, but one was for business and the other for book club.

And now I keep thinking about this necklace and pair of earrings that I also saw at Anthropologie.  I think I must have them.  Do I need them?  Hell no.  Do I want them?  Oh yeah baby!  So pretty.  So feminine.  So casual yet dressy. So perfect.  So mine.

Guess where I’ll be going sometime in the next few days?  At least I was able to walk away from the $50 flip flops (yes, FLIP FLOPS!!) at JCrew.  Give me some credit please.  Just please don’t tell my husband 😉

Mmm, yeah, what happen to the green girl and consuming less?  Oh, yeah, we left her in Macy’s handbags (you didn’t mention that bag) and fine jewelry . . .

If it’s on sale, it’s excusable. If it’s from Anthropologie, it’s excusable. (I lurve Anthropologie but haven’t yet managed to buy anything from though I very much want to.)

Michelles last blog post..Two bits of yayness

Siz – I know, I just can’t see myself spending $50 for flipflops.  Last year I was dying for a pair I saw at Nordsrtom and I think they were $80 and I just couldn’t do it.  No matter how much my friend tempted me.

Jennifer – I used my recyclable shopping bag that I keep in my purse AND bought bamboo utensils.  That’s got to count for SOMETHING!!  And yes, I forgot about the purse since I bought it for my Ireland trip in November…doesn’t count yet 😉

Curly – I’m better at Costco than at Target.  Though thankfully, I can no walk in and out of both of them without purchasing a thing. Go me!  Used to be Target cost me $100 each visit.  That stopped in grad school when I had some major debt and creditors knocking.

Michelle – I guess I should just be thankful that I don’t actualy FIT in Anthropologies clothes or they might be a bigger weakness.  Their tees are sooo soft.  I’m also lucky in that their stores usually require paid parking of one sort or another out here so I don’t go all that often.
